Adam Kelsey – Camp Director
Adam Kelsey has spent a lifetime immersed in education based athletics. A three sport varsity athlete in high school, he went on to play college basketball at Eastern Connecticut State University where he also began his coaching career as a graduate student. He is in his 24th year as a career educator. He began as a social studies teacher and head basketball coach at Denver South High School where he continued to coach for the next 14 years. His love of coaching also included stints with South’s girls soccer, girls tennis and boys and girls golf teams. Adam found his greatest passion as an educator when he accepted the role as South’s Athletic Director. Under his leadership, the school’s athletic program has flourished for over a decade and he was honored as the Colorado 5A Athletic Director of the Year in 2020. During his time at South, he began directing summer sports camps and found a new passion for bringing a multi-sport experience to the landscape of sport specialization in youth sports. If you ask him, Adam will tell you the greatest gift in all his experiences has been to coach his own children Quinn (17) and Violet (12) in their athletic endeavors.
